EVOLUTION OF PRODUCTION SYSTEMS AND BUSINESS MODELS IN AGRIBUSINESS: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY
Keywords:

The main challenge for the academy has been to gather and disseminate information about changes in agricultural systems
and future trends that may lead to greater productive gains for producers. Thus, the aim of this article was to carry out a bibliometric study to analyze the evolution of agricultural systems regarding the use of new techniques, services and business models. The protocol used to develop the bibliometric research was proposed by Zupic and Cater (2015). Data were obtained from the Web of Science database (1973-2021) and analyzed in R statistical software using the Bibliometrix package. The results showed: (1) the evolution of the work in this area during this period, bringing the main temporal landmarks in the literature; (2) the intellectual structure produced; (3) central and peripheral or intermediate researchers in this field; and (4) the dissemination of new concepts created through two main actors: countries and universities. The central theoretical contribution of this study was to deepen the knowledge about the evolution of research on agricultural systems and the business models linked to them. As a practical contribution, this article grouped the main studies, authors, intellectual structure, and dissemination of the concepts involved in this area.
