This article was carried out in order to analyze price transmission relations of the swine meat among the markets in Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais and São Paulo states, as well as to evaluate the relation of prices prevailing in those areas with the price of the swine meat in the international market. So, the series of the meat wholesale prices and the temporal series model ‘Vector Autoregression (VAR)’ were used. According to the results, the following conclusions were drawn: Santa Catarina prices had a higher impact upon the dynamics of the price series in Minas Gerais and São Paulo, whereas the price in either Santa Catarina and international market presented larger exogeneity; and although the impact of the prices to destabilize the marked, their effects tend to dissipate within a period from one to two years, thus suggesting the incidence of innovations to require a period of time for the market and prices to be adjusted.
