Abstract

This study was conducted with the objective to evaluate the market potential, its structure and economic viability in the marketing of horticultural, by farmers in the municipality of Cruzília, MG, aimed at deploying a street fair. For this, the channels and marketing flows, trade margins, and habits of consumer behavior were identified. As main results, it concluded that most horticultural marketed in the municipality under study comes from farmers in the region, with the exception of vegetables (leaves), that are demanded of producers in their own city. Another important point verified was in relation to the marketing margin. It was found that, for all products analyzed, the relative share of the producer was high. It was concluded that there is potential market for the deployment of a street fair in the city of Cruzília, MG. Thus, it needs to be done planning steps about all the actions to be taken and all partnerships to be made.
