Code of Ethics
The reviewing process of articles by Organizações Rurais & Agroindustriais (Journal of Rural & Agroindustrial Organizations - OR&A) follows the following ethical principles:
- The selection of reviewers by section editors should seek full impartiality, avoiding the choice of reviewers from the same institution or who have close relationships with the authors.
- Reviewers should refuse to accept the designation of articles for which they do not have technical competence or if they can in any way identify the authors.
- The final decision on the acceptance or rejection of articles belongs to the editor, and the reviewers are solely responsible for issuing a technical opinion.
- Authors should only submit unpublished articles in journals that are not being evaluated in another journal. In addition, they must formally state that the article is unpublished if accepted for publication and that the article does not contain plagiarism or misuse of data from other publications.
- Authors must sign a declaration of originality and assignment of property rights prior to the publication of the article.
- Reviewers should make a careful analysis regarding the originality of the articles trying to detect possible plagiarism.
- Articles that have been published with technical errors or that constitute total and/or partial plagiarism of other articles will be removed as soon as problems are detected. The authors undertake to write a retraction letter to be published on the journal's website.
- All papers are read by at least two referees, guaranteeing the confidentiality and anonymity of both the author (s) and the referees.
- Summaries of opinions, in case of conditioned acceptance or refusal, are sent to the author (s).
