Effectiveness of land reform programs and effects on the food safety of family farmers of the Vale do Rio Vermelho-GO territory

The directions of this work are articulated through public policy analysis in territorial contexts and its object refers to the process of evaluation of the efficiency, institutional and organizational barriers and enhancements from these initiatives. The analytical approach addresses the issue of food safety broadly, including economic, social and cultural aspects. The main objective is not only to present a case study, but to establish a research framework and the comparison of two public policies: The National Land Credit and Rural Settlements Program, incorporated in the Rural Territory “Vale do Rio Vermelho” in the State of Goiás, making this work an effort to fill gaps in existing management environments to evaluate public policies of agrarian reform, particularly with regard to food safety for small farmers.
